Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 May 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of MobilityVerified (mobilityverified.co.uk), an independent directory of home adaptation specialists operated in the United Kingdom. By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.
2. What MobilityVerified is
MobilityVerified is a directory and information service. We provide:
- Listings of home adaptation specialists including stairlift installers, walk-in bath fitters, grab rail fitters, home lift specialists, and mobility scooter dealers
- Independent trust scores and editorial reviews based on public data
- A quote request service that connects consumers with verified installers
- Guidance on Disabled Facilities Grants and other funding
- Cost guides and buying advice
We are not an installer, retailer, or manufacturer. We do not provide home adaptation services ourselves. Any contract for services is between you and the installer directly.
3. Accuracy of information
We take reasonable care to ensure that provider listings are accurate and up to date. However:
- We cannot guarantee that all information is current or error-free
- Provider details (including accreditations, contact details, and trading status) may change without our knowledge
- Trust scores are calculated from publicly available data and represent our independent assessment, not a guarantee of quality
- Cost estimates are indicative only — actual prices will vary by provider and job specification
- Grant eligibility information is a general guide — you should confirm your eligibility with your local council
4. Quote request service
When you submit a quote request:
- We will match you with up to 3 verified installers in your area
- Your contact details will be shared with those installers
- We are not responsible for the quality, pricing, or conduct of any installer
- We do not guarantee that any installer will contact you or provide a quote
- Any contract you enter with an installer is solely between you and that installer
If you experience a problem with an installer introduced through MobilityVerified, please contact us — we take complaints seriously and will investigate.
5. Provider listings
For providers listed on MobilityVerified:
- Basic listings are free and based on publicly available information
- We may list a provider without their prior consent, using publicly available information
- Providers can contact us to claim, update, or remove their listing
- We reserve the right to remove any listing that does not meet our standards
- Paid "Featured Listings" are available — these affect placement but never trust scores
- Providers must not provide false information to obtain or maintain a listing
6. Intellectual property
All content on MobilityVerified — including editorial summaries, trust scores, cost guides, and buying guides — is our original work and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute this content without our written permission. You may share links to our pages.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, MobilityVerified is not liable for:
- Any loss or damage arising from your use of the directory or our information
- The conduct, quality, or workmanship of any installer listed on the site
- Any loss arising from inaccurate provider information
- Any indirect, consequential, or economic loss
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of MobilityVerified after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
