MobilityVerified

About MobilityVerified

We are an independent UK directory helping older people and their families find trustworthy home adaptation specialists — stairlift installers, walk-in bath fitters, grab rail fitters, home lift specialists and mobility scooter dealers.

Our mission

Finding a reliable home adaptation installer is harder than it should be. The market is fragmented, unregulated in parts, and full of lead-generation sites that sell your details to multiple contractors without your knowledge.

MobilityVerified was built to fix this. Every provider in our directory is independently verified against Companies House records, industry accreditation bodies (BHTA, LEIA, TrustMark), and real customer reviews. We publish a transparent trust score for every listing — calculated from public data, never influenced by advertising spend.

We are free for consumers to use. We never sell your enquiry details to multiple contractors simultaneously. When you request a quote, your details go only to the specific installer you choose.

Who we are

II
Imran Iqbal
Founder & Editor-in-Chief

Imran founded MobilityVerified after experiencing first-hand how difficult it was to find a trustworthy stairlift installer for a family member. With a background in consumer technology and directory publishing, he built MobilityVerified to bring transparency to a market that sorely needed it. Imran oversees all editorial content, verification standards, and trust score methodology.

MobilityVerified is based in the United Kingdom and currently lists over 3,500 verified home adaptation specialists across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Our verification methodology

Every provider listed on MobilityVerified is checked against multiple independent data sources before being published. We update provider records regularly and remove companies that fail our standards.

1
Companies House verification

We check every UK provider against Companies House records to confirm the business is legally registered and actively trading. We flag companies with overdue filings or dissolved status.

2
Industry accreditation check

We verify membership of relevant trade bodies including the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA), Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA), TrustMark, and the Which? Trusted Traders scheme.

3
Customer review analysis

We aggregate verified Google reviews for each provider. We do not accept paid reviews or allow providers to remove negative reviews. Providers with fewer than 3 verified reviews are clearly labelled.

4
Trust score calculation

Each provider receives a trust score from 0–100 calculated from years trading, business registration status, industry accreditations, customer ratings, and review volume. No provider can pay to improve their score.

5
Editorial review

Our editorial team writes independent summaries for top-rated providers based on publicly available information. These summaries are clearly labelled and updated regularly.

Our editorial independence

MobilityVerified operates independently of all providers listed on the site. We do not accept payment to improve a provider's trust score, ranking, or editorial description. Some providers participate in our Featured Listings programme, which provides additional placement in search results — this is always clearly labelled and does not affect trust scores.

We earn revenue through Featured Listings, pay-per-lead partnerships with verified providers, and advertising. None of these commercial relationships influence our verification process or editorial content.
